Before you begin

Although the virtual museum does work on mobile, the museum is best experienced on a laptop or desktop computer.
Turn sound on.
Some exhibits may include videos or audio, so make sure your device volume is turned on before you begin exploring.
Moving Around
Click inside the museum to activate it.
Before using the controls, click inside the virtual museum window. This helps your browser know you are ready to interact with the museum.
Use W, A, S, D or arrow keys or click on the floor beacons to move around the museum.
Click and drag your mouse or trackpad to look around.
Move your mouse or use your trackpad to look around the museum. You can turn in different directions to view exhibits, rooms, and displays from multiple angles.
Move slowly for easier navigation.
Interacting With Exhibits
Click signs, screens, panels, icons, and highlighted objects.
Some exhibits open videos.
Some exhibits include videos that can be played inside the museum or opened in a separate window. Make sure your sound is on and use captions when available.
Some open articles, audio, or additional resources.
Close the window/pop-up to return to the museum.
Watching Videos and Listening to Audio
Click the play button.
Make sure your volume is on.
Use captions if available.
Pause or replay at any time.
Troubleshooting on Desktop
Click inside the museum window if controls are not working.
Refresh the page if it freezes.
If the museum stops responding or something does not load correctly, refresh the page and allow the museum to reload.
Try another browser.
If you are having trouble with movement, videos, or audio, try opening the museum in another browser such as Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox.
Check volume and browser permissions.
If videos or audio are not playing, make sure your device volume is turned on and that your browser has permission to play sound or open media inside the museum.
