Monica is a political conservative with a scientific background (BS in chemical biology from UC Berkeley, MS in forensic science from UC Davis). She started volunteering with Secular Pro-Life (SPL) in late 2009 and became Executive Director in 2021. It argues that while people may not instinctively recognize prenatal children with the same emotional clarity as newborns, support for abortion often weakens once the unborn child is seen as a child.
